Sorbas and its caves
Sorbas is situated in the Tabernas countryside and its main attractions are the curious formations that through erosion have formed caves and galleries.
Sorbas proceeds from the Arabs, and according to geographical studies, and including a text from the XI century, Sorbas means “a pot of sand”. The suburb of Las Alfarerias, is a clear example of the historical Sorban artisania, and you can still see the remains of Arab ovens.
